How to approach your first smoke session

So, you’ve finally decided to take the plunge and try smoking cannabis, the thing that everyone has been talking about. Its unsurprising, given how popular the term has been in the news. News of legalization and widespread distribution and use of cannabis has spread through Northern America and Canada.

With the use of cannabis becoming more and more popular and accepted, even in the eyes of the law, it makes sense that more people than ever want to give it a try. However, approaching your first smoke session may seem daunting at first.

You are trying an experience you have never tried before, and are worried how it may affect you, how you may react to the effects and maybe you have heard some misconceptions about its use.

Not to worry, many people have these same thoughts and concerns, and we are here to help you approach your first smoke session.

Go into it in a good environment

A good environment is key to enjoying your time using cannabis. A good environment could be defined as one that you know well and are comfortable in, such as your home or your friend’s home. Environment is a big factor in how comfortable we are in situations, and you are much more likely to go into something new more confidently if you are aware of your surroundings and understand the environment well. Another aspect of a good environment is who you surround yourself with.

If you choose to smoke with other people, then it is a good idea to smoke with people who have smoked before and know what they are doing. It is also a good idea to not be peer pressured into smoking. If you decide that you do not want to try it, you should not have people around you who will pressure you into trying.

Having good people around you will ensure that you will know how to use cannabis properly and that you understand the effects it will have. It can also help to put you in a good and comfortable mood.

Do your research

Doing your research means you know how cannabis will affect you and how you can expect to feel. This can help ward off fears of danger or health hazards, and you can approach the situation in a cool and calm manner. You will also know how to smoke the cannabis, rather than doing it incorrectly and possibly not getting the full effects.

In keeping these two factors in mind, you will be sure to have a great time with your first time using cannabis.

Stay calm, stay safe and stay comfortable, and you’ll have the time of your life!
